La inflación del mes de marzo del año 2016, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del -0,5%, inferior a la tasa del -0,1% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación acumulada en el año asciende al 2,6%, por encima del 1% verificado en el mismo periodo en el año anterior. La inflación interanual, por su parte, fue del 4,7%, resultado menor al 5,1% observado en el mes de febrero del corriente año, y superior a la tasa del 2,6% registrada en el mes de marzo del año pasado.
Abstract
Inflation for March 2016, measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was -0.5%, lower than the -0.1% rate observed in the same month last year. With this result, cumulative inflation for the year reached 2.6%, above the 1% recorded in the same period last year. Year-on-year inflation, meanwhile, was 4.7%, lower than the 5.1% recorded in February of this year and higher than the 2.6% rate recorded in March of last year.
