Summary
La inflación del mes de junio del año 2017, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del -0,2%, inferior a la tasa del 0,3% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación acumulada en el año asciende al 2%, por debajo del 3% verificado en el mismo periodo del año anterior. La inflación interanual, por su parte, fue del 2,9%, resultado menor al 3,4% verificado en el mes de mayo del corriente año y también inferior a la tasa del 4,7% registrada en el mes de junio del año pasado.
Por otro lado, se señala que la inflación núcleo1 se situó en un nivel por encima de la inflación total mensual (en 0%). Así, la inflación interanual medida por este indicador, alcanzó una tasa del 3,2%, inferior a la tasa del 3,4% correspondiente al mes de mayo del corriente año y también menor a la tasa del 3,7% verificada en el mes de junio del año 2016.
Abstract
Inflation for June 2017, measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was -0.2%, lower than the 0.3% rate observed in the same month last year. With this result, cumulative inflation for the year reached 2%, below the 3% recorded in the same period last year. Year-on-year inflation, meanwhile, was 2.9%, lower than the 3.4% recorded in May of this year and also lower than the 4.7% rate recorded in June of last year.
Furthermore, it is noted that core inflation1 was above the monthly total inflation rate (0%). Thus, year-on-year inflation, as measured by this indicator, reached a rate of 3.2%, lower than the 3.4% rate for May of this year and also lower than the 3.7% rate recorded in June 2016.
