Summary
La inflación del mes de junio del año 2016, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del 0,3%, superior a la tasa del -0,9% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación acumulada al primer semestre del año asciende al 3%, por encima del 1,4% verificado en el mismo periodo del año anterior. La inflación interanual, por su parte, fue del 4,7%, resultado mayor al 3,5% observado en el mes de mayo del corriente año, y también superior a la tasa del 2,5% registrada en el mes de junio del año pasado.
Por otro lado, se señala que la inflación núcleo1 se situó en un nivel inferior al de la inflación total mensual (en 0,2%). Así, la inflación interanual medida por este indicador alcanzó una tasa del 3,7%, superior a la tasa del 3,5% correspondiente al mes de mayo del corriente año, y también por encima de la tasa del 2,6% verificada en el mes de junio del año 2015.
Abstract
Inflation for June 2016, measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 0.3%, higher than the -0.9% rate observed in the same month last year. With this result, cumulative inflation for the first half of the year reached 3%, above the 1.4% recorded in the same period last year. Year-on-year inflation, meanwhile, was 4.7%, higher than the 3.5% observed in May of this year and also higher than the 2.5% rate recorded in June of last year.
Furthermore, it is noted that core inflation1 was lower than total monthly inflation (at 0.2%). Thus, year-on-year inflation, as measured by this indicator, reached a rate of 3.7%, higher than the 3.5% rate for May of this year and also above the 2.6% rate recorded in June 2015.
