Summary
La inflación del mes de julio del año 2017, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del 0,1%, superior a la tasa del -1% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación acumulada en el año asciende al 2,1%, por encima del 2% verificado en el mismo periodo del año anterior. La inflación interanual, por su parte, fue del 4%, resultado mayor al 2,9% verificado en el mes de junio del corriente año y también superior a la tasa del 2,9% registrada en el mes de julio del año pasado.
Por otro lado, se señala que la inflación núcleo1 se situó en un nivel por encima de la inflación total mensual (en 0,2%). Así, la inflación interanual medida por este indicador, alcanzó una tasa del 3,2%, similar a la tasa correspondiente al mes de junio del corriente año y menor a la tasa del 3,5% verificada en el mes de julio del año 2016.
Abstract
Inflation for July 2017, measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 0.1%, higher than the -1% rate observed in the same month last year. With this result, cumulative inflation for the year reached 2.1%, above the 2% recorded in the same period last year. Year-on-year inflation, meanwhile, was 4%, higher than the 2.9% recorded in June of this year and also higher than the 2.9% rate recorded in July of last year.
Furthermore, it is noted that core inflation1 was above total monthly inflation (0.2%). Thus, year-on-year inflation, as measured by this indicator, reached a rate of 3.2%, similar to the rate for June of this year and lower than the 3.5% rate recorded in July 2016.
