La inflación del mes de febrero del año 2004, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue 0,1%, menor a la tasa del 1,8% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación acumulada asciende al 0,5%, muy inferior al 5,8% registrado en igual período del año anterior. Por su parte, la inflación interanual se ubica en una tasa del 3,8%, por debajo del 5,5% registrado en el mes de enero de este año y del 20,2% verificado en el mes de febrero del año 2003.
Abstract
Inflation for February 2004, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 0.1%, lower than the 1.8% rate observed in the same month last year. With this result, cumulative inflation reached 0.5%, much lower than the 5.8% recorded in the same period last year. Year-on-year inflation stood at 3.8%, below the 5.5% recorded in January of this year and the 20.2% recorded in February 2003.
