Summary
La inflación del mes de diciembre del año 2015, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del 0,9%, superior a la tasa del 0,7% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación del año 2015 se ubicó en un 3,1%, menor al 4,2% registrado en el año 2014.
Por otro lado, se señala que la inflación núcleo1 se sitúo en un nivel inferior al de la inflación total mensual (en 0,5%). Así, la inflación del año medida por este indicador, alcanzó una tasa del 3,7%, mayor a la tasa de 3,2% verificada en el año 2014.
Abstract
Inflation for December 2015, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 0.9%, higher than the 0.7% rate observed in the same month the previous year. With this result, inflation for 2015 stood at 3.1%, lower than the 4.2% recorded in 2014.
Furthermore, core inflation1 was lower than monthly headline inflation (0.5%). Thus, inflation for the year, as measured by this indicator, reached a rate of 3.7%, higher than the 3.2% rate recorded in 2014.
