La inflación del mes de diciembre del año 2009, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del 0,5%, levemente inferior a la tasa del 0,6% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación del año 2009 se ubicó en un 1,9%, menor a la tasa del 7,5% registrado durante el año 2008, y por debajo del rango referencial de inflación de mediano y largo plazo del 5% con un rango de tolerancia de +/- 2,5%.
Abstract
Inflation in December 2009, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 0.5%, slightly lower than the 0.6% rate observed in the same month last year. With this result, inflation for 2009 stood at 1.9%, lower than the 7.5% rate recorded in 2008, and below the medium- and long-term inflation benchmark of 5%, with a tolerance of +/- 2.5%.
