La inflación del mes de diciembre del año 2005, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del -0,6%, superior a la tasa del 1,6% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. La inflación del año, con este resultado mensual cierra en un 9,9%, superior al 2,8% registrado en el año 2004. Si bien la inflación observada supera al rango meta establecido a principios de año (5% ±2,5%), esta tasa representa un cambio en la tendencia de aumento registrada en los últimos tres meses.
Abstract
Inflation for December 2005, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was -0.6%, higher than the 1.6% rate observed in the same month last year. With this monthly result, inflation for the year closed at 9.9%, higher than the 2.8% recorded in 2004. While observed inflation exceeds the target range established at the beginning of the year (5% ± 2.5%), this rate represents a change in the upward trend observed over the past three months.
