Summary
La inflación del mes de abril del año 2019, medida por la variación del
Índice de Precios del Productor (IPP), fue del 0%, inferior a la tasa del 0,1%
registrada en el mismo mes del año pasado. Así, la inflación acumulada
asciende al 0,3%, similar a la variación observada en abril del 2018. Con
estos datos, la inflación interanual en el mes de abril de 2019 se ubica en
2,3%, inferior al 2,4% correspondiente al mes de marzo del corriente, y
también menor al 2,7% observado en abril del año 2018.
En el nivel de los PRODUCTOS NACIONALES la inflación durante el mes
de abril del corriente fue del -0,6%, menor al 0% observado en el mismo mes
del año anterior. Por su parte, la inflación acumulada se ubicó en -0,9%,
inferior del 0,3% verificado en abril del año pasado. Así, la inflación
interanual para los bienes nacionales registró una tasa del -0,4%, inferior al
0,2% de marzo del corriente, y también muy por debajo del 4,1% verificada
en abril del año 2018.
Abstract
Inflation for April 2019, as measured by the variation in the Producer Price Index (PPI), was 0%, lower than the 0.1% rate recorded in the same month last year. Thus, cumulative inflation amounts to 0.3%, similar to the variation observed in April 2018. With this data, year-on-year inflation for April 2019 stood at 2.3%, lower than the 2.4% corresponding to March of this year, and also lower than the 2.7% observed in April 2018. Regarding DOMESTIC PRODUCTS, inflation during April was -0.6%, lower than the 0% observed in the same month last year. Cumulative inflation, meanwhile, was -0.9%, lower than the 0.3% observed in April of last year. Thus, year-on-year inflation for domestic goods registered a rate of -0.4%, lower than the 0.2% recorded in March of this year, and also well below the 4.1% recorded in April 2018.
