Summary
La inflación del mes de abril del año 2020, medida por la variación del
Índice de Precios del Productor (IPP), fue de -0,5%, inferior a la tasa del 0%
registrada en el mismo mes del año 2019. En tanto que, la inflación
acumulada a abril de 2020 fue de 0,4%, mayor al resultado del 0,3%
observado el año pasado. Así, la inflación interanual del mes se ubicó en
1,1%, inferior a la tasa del 1,6% observada en el mes anterior, y también
menor a la tasa del 2,3% verificada en el mes de abril del año 2019.
En el nivel de los PRODUCTOS NACIONALES la inflación durante el mes
de abril del año 2020 fue del -0,5%, superior a la variación del -0,6%
observada en el mismo mes del año 2019. Por su parte, la inflación
acumulada a abril del 2020 fue del 0,2%, por encima de la tasa del -0,9%
registrada en el año anterior. De esta manera, la inflación interanual del mes
de abril se ubicó en una tasa del 0,2%, resultado similar a la registrada en el
mes de marzo del corriente, pero superior a la tasa del -0,4% verificada en
abril de 2019.
Abstract
Inflation for April 2020, as measured by the variation in the Producer Price Index (PPI), was -0.5%, lower than the 0% rate recorded in the same month in 2019. Meanwhile, cumulative inflation through April 2020 was 0.4%, higher than the 0.3% observed last year. Thus, year-on-year inflation for the month was 1.1%, lower than the 1.6% rate observed in the previous month and also lower than the 2.3% rate observed in April 2019. For domestic products, inflation during April 2020 was -0.5%, higher than the -0.6% variation observed in the same month in 2019. Cumulative inflation through April 2020 was 0.2%, higher than the -0.9% rate recorded in the previous year. Thus, year-on-year inflation for April was 0.2%, similar to that recorded in March of this year, but higher than the -0.4% rate observed in April 2019.
