Summary
La inflación del mes de agosto del año 2017, medida por la variación del Índice de
Precios del Productor (IPP), fue del 0,8%, superior a la tasa del 0,4% registrada en
agosto del año pasado. Así, la inflación acumulada asciende al 0,6%, por debajo del
1,3% observada en agosto del 2016. Con estos datos, la inflación interanual del año
2017 asciende al 3,4%, mayor al 3% correspondiente al mes de julio del corriente, e
inferior al 4,5% observado en agosto del año 2016.
En el nivel de los PRODUCTOS NACIONALES la inflación durante el mes de
agosto del corriente fue del 1,3%, mayor al 1% observado en el mismo mes del año
anterior. Por su parte, la inflación acumulada se ubicó en 2,4%, por debajo del 4,5%
verificado en agosto del año pasado. Así, la inflación interanual para los bienes
nacionales cerró con una tasa del 6%, superior al 5,7% de julio del corriente, y
también por encima de la tasa del 5,7% verificada en agosto del año 2016.
Abstract
Inflation for August 2017, measured by the variation in the Producer Price Index (PPI), was 0.8%, higher than the 0.4% rate recorded in August of last year. Thus, cumulative inflation reached 0.6%, below the 1.3% observed in August 2016. With these data, year-on-year inflation for 2017 reached 3.4%, higher than the 3% observed in July of this year and lower than the 4.5% observed in August of 2016. Regarding DOMESTIC PRODUCTS, inflation during August of this year was 1.3%, higher than the 1% observed in the same month of the previous year. Cumulative inflation, meanwhile, stood at 2.4%, below the 4.5% observed in August of last year. Thus, year-on-year inflation for domestic goods closed at 6%, higher than the 5.7% recorded in July of this year, and also above the 5.7% rate recorded in August 2016.
