Summary
La inflación del mes de febrero del año 2016, medida por la variación del Índice de
Precios del Productor (IPP), fue del -0,1%, superior a la tasa del -0,2% registrada en
febrero del año pasado. Así, la inflación acumulada asciende al 0,5%, muy por
encima del -0,5% observado en febrero del 2015. Con estos datos, la inflación
interanual del año 2016 asciende al 6,1%, mayor al 5,9% correspondiente al mes de
enero del corriente, y también muy superior del -1% observado en febrero del año
2015.
En el nivel de los PRODUCTOS NACIONALES la inflación durante el mes de
febrero del corriente fue del 0,9%, mayor al 0,2% observado en el mismo mes del
año anterior. Por su parte, la inflación acumulada se ubicó en 1,8%, por encima del
-0,6% verificado en febrero del año pasado. Así, la inflación interanual para los
bienes nacionales cerró con una tasa del 2%, superior al 1,2% de enero del corriente,
y también por encima a la tasa del -2,7% verificada en febrero del año 2015.
Abstract
Inflation for February 2016, as measured by the change in the Producer Price Index (PPI), was -0.1%, higher than the -0.2% rate recorded in February of last year. Thus, cumulative inflation reached 0.5%, well above the -0.5% observed in February 2015. With these data, year-on-year inflation for 2016 reached 6.1%, higher than the 5.9% corresponding to January of this year, and also much higher than the -1% observed in February of 2015. Regarding DOMESTIC PRODUCTS, inflation during February of this year was 0.9%, higher than the 0.2% observed in the same month of the previous year. Meanwhile, cumulative inflation stood at 1.8%, higher than the -0.6% recorded in February of last year. Thus, year-on-year inflation for domestic goods closed at 2%, higher than the 1.2% recorded in January of this year, and also higher than the -2.7% recorded in February 2015.
