Summary
La inflación del mes de febrero del año 2017, medida por la variación del Índice de
Precios del Productor (IPP), fue del 0,1%, superior a la tasa del -0,1% registrada en
febrero del año pasado. Así, la inflación acumulada asciende al 0,2%, por debajo del
0,5% observado en febrero del 2016. Con estos datos, la inflación interanual del año
2017 asciende al 3,8%, mayor al 3,6% correspondiente al mes de enero del corriente,
pero inferior al 6,1% observado en febrero del año 2016.
En el nivel de los PRODUCTOS NACIONALES la inflación durante el mes de
febrero del corriente fue del 0,7%, menor al 0,9% observado en el mismo mes del
año anterior. Por su parte, la inflación acumulada se ubicó en 0,9%, por debajo del
1,8% verificado en febrero del año pasado. Así, la inflación interanual para los
bienes nacionales cerró con una tasa del 7,3%, inferior al 7,6% de enero del
corriente, pero por encima de la tasa del 2% verificada en febrero del año 2016.
Abstract
Inflation for February 2017, as measured by the change in the Producer Price Index (PPI), was 0.1%, higher than the -0.1% rate recorded in February of last year. Thus, cumulative inflation reached 0.2%, below the 0.5% observed in February 2016. With these data, year-on-year inflation for 2017 reached 3.8%, higher than the 3.6% observed in January of this year, but lower than the 6.1% observed in February of this year. Regarding DOMESTIC PRODUCTS, inflation during February of this year was 0.7%, lower than the 0.9% observed in the same month of the previous year. Cumulative inflation, meanwhile, stood at 0.9%, below the 1.8% observed in February of last year. Thus, year-on-year inflation for domestic goods closed at 7.3%, lower than the 7.6% recorded in January of this year, but above the 2% rate recorded in February 2016.
