Summary
La inflación del mes de febrero del año 2018, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios del
Productor (IPP), fue del 0,3%, tasa superior al 0,1% registrada en el mismo período del año
anterior. Así, la inflación acumulada asciende al 0,7%, superior al 0,2% observado en febrero del
2017. Con estos datos, la inflación interanual del mes de febrero del año 2018 asciende al 2,5%,
superior al 2,3% observada en el mes anterior, y por debajo del 3,8% registrada en febrero del año
2017.
En el nivel de los PRODUCTOS NACIONALES, la inflación fue del 0,9%, superior al 0,7%
correspondiente al mismo mes del año 2017. Por su parte, la inflación acumulada se ubicó en 0,9%,
similar a la tasa del 0,9% observada en febrero del año anterior. Así, la inflación interanual del mes
de febrero del año 2018 para los bienes nacionales cerró con un 4,7%, mayor a la tasa del 4,5%
observada en el mes anterior y también superior al 1,1% verificada en febrero del año 2017.
Abstract
Inflation for February 2018, measured by the change in the Producer Price Index (PPI), was 0.3%, higher than the 0.1% recorded in the same period last year. Thus, cumulative inflation reached 0.7%, higher than the 0.2% observed in February 2017. With these data, year-on-year inflation for February 2018 reached 2.5%, higher than the 2.3% observed in the previous month and lower than the 3.8% recorded in February 2017. Regarding DOMESTIC PRODUCTS, inflation was 0.9%, higher than the 0.7% recorded in the same month in 2017. Cumulative inflation, meanwhile, stood at 0.9%, similar to the 0.9% rate observed in February of the previous year. Thus, year-on-year inflation for domestic goods in February 2018 closed at 4.7%, higher than the 4.5% rate observed in the previous month and also higher than the 1.1% observed in February 2017.
