Summary
La inflación del mes de setiembre del año 2015, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del -0,1%, menor a la tasa del 0% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación acumulada en el año asciende al 2%, por debajo del 2,5% verificado en el mismo periodo del año anterior. La inflación interanual, por su parte, fue del 3,7%, resultado menor al 3,9% observado en agosto del corriente año, y también por debajo de la tasa del 4,1% registrada en el mes de setiembre del año pasado.
Por otro lado, se señala que la inflación núcleo1 se sitúo en un nivel superior al de la inflación total mensual (en 0,3%). Así, la inflación interanual medida por este indicador, alcanzó una tasa del 3,2%, mayor al 3,1% correspondiente al mes de agosto del corriente año, pero menor a la tasa del 3,4% verificada en el mes de setiembre del año 2014.
Abstract
Inflation for September 2015, measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was -0.1%, lower than the 0% rate observed in the same month last year. With this result, cumulative inflation for the year reached 2%, below the 2.5% recorded in the same period last year. Year-on-year inflation, meanwhile, was 3.7%, lower than the 3.9% observed in August of this year and also lower than the 4.1% rate recorded in September of last year.
Furthermore, it is noted that core inflation1 was higher than total monthly inflation (at 0.3%). Thus, year-on-year inflation, as measured by this indicator, reached a rate of 3.2%, higher than the 3.1% recorded in August of this year, but lower than the 3.4% recorded in September 2014.
