Summary
La inflación del mes de setiembre del año 2014, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del 0%, menor a la tasa del 0,3% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación acumulada en el año asciende al 2,5%, por encima del 2,1% verificado en el mismo periodo en el año anterior. La inflación interanual, por su parte, fue del 4,1%, resultado menor al 4,4% observado en el mes de agosto del corriente año, pero por encima de la tasa del 3,2% registrada en el mes de setiembre del año pasado.
Por otro lado, se señala que la inflación núcleo1 se sitúo en un nivel superior al de la inflación total mensual (en 0,2%). Así, la inflación interanual medida por este indicador, alcanzó una tasa del 3,4%, menor a la tasa del 3,6% verificado en el mes de agosto del corriente año, pero por encima de la tasa del 2,7% verificada en el mes de setiembre del año 2013.
Abstract
Inflation for September 2014, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 0%, lower than the 0.3% rate observed in the same month last year. With this result, cumulative inflation for the year reached 2.5%, above the 2.1% recorded in the same period last year. Year-on-year inflation, meanwhile, was 4.1%, lower than the 4.4% observed in August of this year, but higher than the 3.2% rate recorded in September of last year.
Furthermore, core inflation1 was higher than total monthly inflation (at 0.2%). Thus, year-on-year inflation, as measured by this indicator, reached a rate of 3.4%, lower than the 3.6% recorded in August of this year, but higher than the 2.7% recorded in September 2013.
