Summary
La inflación del mes de octubre del año 2012, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del -0,2%, tasa mayor al -0,8% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación acumulada en el año asciende al 2,6%, por debajo del 4,2% verificado en el mismo periodo del año anterior. La inflación interanual, por su parte, fue del 3,4%, resultado superior a la tasa del 2,8% observado en el mes de setiembre del corriente año, pero por debajo de la tasa del 6,2% registrado en el mes de octubre del año pasado.
Abstract
Inflation in October 2012, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was -0.2%, higher than the -0.8% observed in the same month last year. With this result, cumulative inflation for the year reached 2.6%, below the 4.2% observed in the same period last year. Year-on-year inflation, meanwhile, was 3.4%, higher than the 2.8% observed in September of this year, but lower than the 6.2% rate recorded in October of last year.
