Summary
La inflación del mes de octubre del año 2011, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del -0,8%, inferior a la tasa del 2,2% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación acumulada en el año asciende al 4,2%, por debajo del 5,2% verificado en el mismo periodo durante el año anterior. La inflación interanual, por su parte, alcanzó un 6,2%, resultado muy inferior al 9,4% observado en el mes de setiembre del corriente año, pero mayor a la tasa del 5,2% registrado en el mes de octubre del año pasado.
Abstract
Inflation for October 2011, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was -0.8%, lower than the 2.2% rate observed in the same month last year. With this result, cumulative inflation for the year reached 4.2%, below the 5.2% observed in the same period last year. Year-on-year inflation, meanwhile, reached 6.2%, much lower than the 9.4% observed in September of this year, but higher than the 5.2% rate recorded in October of last year.
