Summary
La inflación del mes de mayo del año 2012, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del 0,4%, superior a la tasa del 0% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación acumulada en el año asciende al 3,2%, por debajo del 4,4% verificado en el mismo periodo en el año anterior. La inflación interanual, por su parte, fue del 3,8%, resultado mayor al 3,3% observado en el mes de abril del corriente año, y muy por debajo de la tasa del 10,2% registrado en el mes de mayo del año pasado.
Abstract
Inflation for May 2012, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 0.4%, higher than the 0% rate observed in the same month last year. With this result, cumulative inflation for the year reached 3.2%, below the 4.4% recorded in the same period last year. Year-on-year inflation, meanwhile, was 3.8%, higher than the 3.3% observed in April of this year and well below the 10.2% rate recorded in May of last year.
