Summary
La inflación del mes de mayo del año 2011, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del 0%, superior a la tasa del -1% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación acumulada en el año asciende al 4,4%, por encima del 1,6% verificado en el mismo periodo en el año anterior. La inflación interanual, por su parte, fue del 10,2%, resultado mayor al 9,1% observado en el mes de abril del corriente año, pero superior a la tasa del 4,5% registrado en el mes de mayo del año pasado.
Abstract
Inflation for May 2011, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 0%, higher than the -1% rate observed in the same month last year. With this result, cumulative inflation for the year reached 4.4%, above the 1.6% recorded in the same period last year. Year-on-year inflation, meanwhile, was 10.2%, higher than the 9.1% observed in April of this year, but higher than the 4.5% rate recorded in May of last year.
