La inflación del mes de junio del año 2006, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC) fue -0,4%, menor a la tasa del -0,1% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación acumulada en el año se sitúa en 3,7%, por debajo del 5,1% registrado en igual período del año 2005. La inflación interanual, por su parte, asciende al 8,4%, inferior a la tasa del 8,7% observada en mayo del corriente año, pero por encima del 6,1% registrado en junio del año anterior.
Abstract
Inflation in June 2006, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was -0.4%, lower than the -0.1% rate observed in the same month last year. This result brings cumulative inflation for the year to 3.7%, below the 5.1% recorded in the same period in 2005. Year-on-year inflation, meanwhile, stood at 8.4%, lower than the 8.7% rate observed in May of this year, but higher than the 6.1% recorded in June of last year.
