Summary
La inflación del mes de agosto del año 2010, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del 0,9%, levemente inferior a la tasa del 1% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación acumulada en el año asciende al 3,3%, por encima del 0,7% registrado en el mismo periodo del año anterior. La inflación interanual, por su parte, fue del 4,5%, resultado menor al 4,7% observado en el mes de julio del corriente año, pero por encima del 1,6% registrado en el mes de agosto del año pasado.
Abstract
Inflation for August 2010, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 0.9%, slightly lower than the 1% rate observed in the same month last year. With this result, cumulative inflation for the year reached 3.3%, above the 0.7% recorded in the same period last year. Year-on-year inflation, meanwhile, was 4.5%, lower than the 4.7% observed in July of this year, but higher than the 1.6% recorded in August of last year.
