La inflación del mes de agosto del año 2018, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios del
Productor (IPP), fue del 0,6%, tasa inferior al 0,8% registrado en el mismo período del año pasado.
Así, la inflación acumulada asciende al 1,2%, por encima del 0,6% observado en agosto del 2017.
Con este resultado, la inflación interanual del mes de agosto del año 2018 se ubica en 2,7%, inferior
a la tasa del 3% verificada en el mes de julio del corriente, y también menor a la tasa del 3,4%
observada en agosto del 2017.
En el nivel de los PRODUCTOS NACIONALES, la inflación durante el mes de agosto del corriente
fue del 0,5%, inferior al 1,3% observado en el mismo mes del año anterior. Por su parte, la inflación
acumulada se ubicó en -0,2%, menor al 2,4% verificado en agosto del año pasado. Así, la inflación
interanual para los bienes nacionales cerró con una tasa del 2%, inferior al 2,8% de julio del
corriente y también por debajo del 6% verificado en agosto del año 2017.
Abstract
Inflation for August 2018, measured by the change in the Producer Price Index (PPI), was 0.6%, lower than the 0.8% recorded in the same period last year.
Thus, cumulative inflation reached 1.2%, above the 0.6% observed in August 2017.
With this result, year-on-year inflation for August 2018 stood at 2.7%, lower than the 3% rate observed in July of this year, and also lower than the 3.4% rate observed in August 2017.
For domestic products, inflation during August of this year was 0.5%, lower than the 1.3% observed in the same month of the previous year. Meanwhile, cumulative inflation stood at -0.2%, lower than the 2.4% recorded in August of last year. Thus, year-on-year inflation for domestic goods closed at 2%, lower than the 2.8% recorded in July of this year and also below the 6% recorded in August 2017.
