La inflación del mes de mayo del año 2018, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios del Productor (IPP), fue del 0,2%, tasa superior al 0% registrada en el mismo mes del año pasado. Así, la inflación acumulada asciende al 0,6%, por encima del -0,3% observada en mayo del 2017. Con estos datos, la inflación interanual en el mes de mayo de 2018 se ubica en 3%, superior a la tasa del 2,7% verificada en el mes de abril del corriente, pero inferior al 3,9% observado en mayo del año 2017.
En el nivel de los PRODUCTOS NACIONALES la inflación durante el mes de mayo del corriente fue del -0,3%, mayor al -0,4% observado en el mismo mes del año anterior. Por su parte, la inflación acumulada se ubicó en 0%, por debajo del 0,5% verificado en mayo del año pasado. Así, la inflación interanual para los bienes nacionales cerró con una tasa del 4,2%, superior al 4,1% de abril del corriente, pero inferior al 6,9% verificado en mayo del año 2017.
Abstract
Inflation for May 2018, measured by the change in the Producer Price Index (PPI), was 0.2%, higher than the 0% recorded in the same month last year. Thus, cumulative inflation reached 0.6%, above the -0.3% observed in May 2017. With these data, year-on-year inflation for May 2018 stood at 3%, higher than the 2.7% rate observed in April of this year, but lower than the 3.9% observed in May 2017.
For domestic products, inflation for May of this year was -0.3%, higher than the -0.4% observed in the same month last year. Cumulative inflation, meanwhile, stood at 0%, below the 0.5% observed in May of last year. Thus, year-on-year inflation for domestic goods closed at 4.2%, higher than the 4.1% recorded in April this year, but lower than the 6.9% recorded in May 2017.
