dc.descriptionLa inflación del mes de junio del año 2009, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del 0,8%, inferior a la tasa del 1,2% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación acumulada en el año se ubica en -0,1%, por debajo del 5,4% verificado durante el mismo periodo en el año anterior. La inflación interanual, por su parte, fue del 1,9%, resultado menor al 2,2% observado en el mes de mayo del corriente año, y también menor a la tasa del 13,4% registrado en el mes de junio del año 2008. Por otro lado, se señala que la inflación subyacente (indicador que excluye los rubros volátiles de la canasta) se sitúo en un nivel inferior al de la inflación total mensual (en 0,5%). Así, la inflación interanual medido por este indicador, alcanzó una tasa del 1,3%, por debajo de la tasa del 1,7% correspondiente al mes de mayo del corriente año, y también inferior a la tasa del 13,1% verificado en el mes de junio del año pasado.
dc.description.abstractInflation for June 2009, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 0.8%, lower than the 1.2% rate observed in the same month last year. With this result, cumulative inflation for the year stands at -0.1%, below the 5.4% observed during the same period last year. Year-on-year inflation, meanwhile, was 1.9%, lower than the 2.2% observed in May of this year and also lower than the 13.4% rate recorded in June 2008. Furthermore, core inflation (an indicator that excludes volatile items in the basket) was lower than total monthly inflation (0.5%). Thus, year-on-year inflation, as measured by this indicator, reached a rate of 1.3%, below the 1.7% rate for May of this year and also lower than the 13.1% rate recorded in June of last year.
