Evolución del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC): en junio 2004

Abstract

Inflation for June 2004, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 0.9%, higher than the -1.5% rate observed in the same month last year. The inflation rate for consumer prices is again explained, as in the previous month, by the price increases observed for petroleum-derived fuels, specifically the increases recorded in the final prices of gasoline and liquefied petroleum gas. However, it should be noted that this upward trend persisted until the first half of this month, so a stabilization in the prices of these two aforementioned items is expected going forward, their behavior dependent on international crude oil prices and the evolution of the exchange rate.
