dc.descriptionLa inflación del mes de julio del año 2018, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del -0,3%, tasa menor al 0,1% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación acumulada en el año asciende al 1,6%, por debajo del 2,1% verificado en el mismo periodo del año 2017. La inflación interanual, por su parte, fue del 4%, inferior al 4,4% registrada en el mes de junio del corriente año, y similar a la tasa registrada en el mes de julio del año pasado. Por otro lado, se señala que la inflación núcleo1 se situó en un nivel superior al de la inflación total mensual (en 0,2%). Así, la inflación interanual medida por este indicador, alcanzó una tasa del 2,9%, similar a la tasa registrada en el mes de junio del corriente año, pero inferior a la tasa del 3,2% verificada en el mes de julio del año 2017.
dc.description.abstractInflation for July 2018, measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was -0.3%, lower than the 0.1% observed in the same month last year. With this result, cumulative inflation for the year reached 1.6%, below the 2.1% recorded in the same period in 2017. Year-on-year inflation, meanwhile, was 4%, lower than the 4.4% recorded in June of this year and similar to the rate recorded in July of last year. Furthermore, it is noted that core inflation1 was higher than total monthly inflation (at 0.2%). Thus, year-on-year inflation, as measured by this indicator, reached a rate of 2.9%, similar to the rate recorded in June of this year, but lower than the 3.2% rate recorded in July 2017.
