dc.descriptionLa inflación del mes de julio del año 2016, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del -1%, inferior a la tasa del 0,8% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación acumulada del año asciende al 2%, por debajo del 2,2% verificado en el mismo periodo del año anterior. La inflación interanual, por su parte, fue del 2,9%, resultado menor al 4,7% observado en el mes de junio del corriente año, y también inferior a la tasa del 3,6% registrada en el mes de julio del año pasado. Por otro lado, se señala que la inflación núcleo1 se situó en un nivel superior al de la inflación total mensual (en 0,2%). Así, la inflación interanual medida por este indicador alcanzó una tasa del 3,5%, inferior a la tasa del 3,7% correspondiente al mes de junio del corriente año, y por encima de la tasa del 2,8% verificada en el mes de julio del año 2015.
dc.description.abstractInflation for July 2016, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was -1%, lower than the 0.8% rate observed in the same month last year. With this result, cumulative inflation for the year reached 2%, below the 2.2% observed in the same period last year. Year-on-year inflation, meanwhile, was 2.9%, lower than the 4.7% observed in June of this year and also lower than the 3.6% rate recorded in July of last year. Furthermore, it is noted that core inflation1 was higher than total monthly inflation (at 0.2%). Thus, year-on-year inflation, as measured by this indicator, reached a rate of 3.5%, lower than the 3.7% rate for June of this year and higher than the 2.8% rate recorded in July 2015.
