Evolución del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC): en febrero de 2018

dc.descriptionLa inflación del mes de febrero del año 2018, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del 0,3%, inferior a la tasa del 0,9% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación acumulada en el año asciende al 1,1%, por debajo del 1,5% verificado en el mismo periodo del año 2017. La inflación interanual, por su parte, fue del 4,1%, menor al 4,7% registrado en el mes de enero del corriente año, pero superior a la tasa del 2,3% registrada en el mes de febrero del año pasado. Por otro lado, se señala que la inflación núcleo1 se situó en un nivel inferior al de la inflación total mensual (en 0,2%). Así, la inflación interanual medida por este indicador, alcanzó una tasa del 2,9%, levemente menor al 3% registrada en el mes de enero del corriente año, pero por encima de la tasa del 2,8% verificada en el mes de febrero del año 2017.
dc.description.abstractInflation for February 2018, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 0.3%, lower than the 0.9% rate observed in the same month last year. With this result, cumulative inflation for the year reached 1.1%, below the 1.5% recorded in the same period in 2017. Year-on-year inflation, meanwhile, was 4.1%, lower than the 4.7% recorded in January of this year, but higher than the 2.3% rate recorded in February of last year. Furthermore, it is noted that core inflation1 was lower than total monthly inflation (at 0.2%). Thus, the year-on-year inflation measured by this indicator reached a rate of 2.9%, slightly lower than the 3% recorded in January of this year, but above the rate of 2.8% verified in February 2017.
