Evolución del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC): en febrero de 2015

dc.descriptionLa inflación del mes de febrero del año 2015, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del 0,5%, menor a la tasa del 0,7% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación acumulada en el año asciende al 1,1%, por debajo del 2% verificado en el mismo periodo en el año anterior. La inflación interanual, por su parte, fue del 3,2%, resultado menor al 3,4% observado en el mes de enero del corriente año, y también por debajo a la tasa del 5,4% registrada en el mes de febrero del año pasado. Por otro lado, se señala que la inflación núcleo1 se sitúo en un nivel inferior al de la inflación total mensual (en 0%). Así, la inflación interanual medida por este indicador, alcanzó una tasa del 2,3%, inferior a la tasa del 2,9% correspondiente al mes de enero del corriente año, y también por debajo de la tasa del 3,7% verificada en el mes de febrero del año 2014.
dc.description.abstractInflation in February 2015, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 0.5%, lower than the 0.7% rate observed in the same month last year. With this result, cumulative inflation for the year reached 1.1%, below the 2% rate observed in the same period last year. Year-on-year inflation, meanwhile, was 3.2%, lower than the 3.4% observed in January of this year and also lower than the 5.4% rate recorded in February of last year. Furthermore, core inflation1 was lower than total monthly inflation (0%). Thus, year-on-year inflation, measured by this indicator, reached a rate of 2.3%, lower than the 2.9% rate for January of this year, and also below the 3.7% rate recorded in February 2014.
