La inflación del mes de febrero del año 2009, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del -0,3%, inferior a la tasa del 1,3% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación acumulada en el año asciende al -0,2%, por debajo del 2,9% verificado en el mismo periodo en el año anterior. La inflación interanual, por su parte, fue del 4,3%, resultado menor al 5,9% observado en el mes de enero del corriente año, y también inferior a la tasa del 10,5% registrado en el mes de febrero del año pasado.
Abstract
Inflation for February 2009, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was -0.3%, lower than the 1.3% rate observed in the same month last year. With this result, cumulative inflation for the year reached -0.2%, below the 2.9% recorded in the same period last year. Year-on-year inflation, meanwhile, was 4.3%, lower than the 5.9% observed in January of this year and also lower than the 10.5% rate recorded in February of last year.
