Inversión Extranjera Directa en Paraguay : periodo 2008 – segundo trimestre 2011

Abstract

This report presents the preliminary results of the flows and balances of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Paraguay during the period from 2008 to the second quarter of 2011. For the purposes of this report, coverage of 56.4% of total equity, assets, and liabilities of non-financial companies, banks, and insurance companies was achieved as of the second quarter of 2011. Non-financial companies had a coverage of 26.5%, while the banking and insurance sectors had a coverage of 100%. It is also worth mentioning that for 2009, 2010, and the first quarter of 2011, coverage levels of 98%, 84.4%, and 47%, respectively, were achieved. Coverage for these periods may be increased in subsequent reports as more responses are received from non-financial sector entities. For the second quarter of 2011, a directory of 118 entities was considered, of which 105 were non-financial entities, 10 were banks, and 3 were insurance entities.
