Evolución del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC): en enero de 2017

dc.descriptionLa inflación del mes de enero del año 2017, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del 0,6%, menor a la tasa del 2,6% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación interanual se ubicó en 1,9%, resultado inferior a la tasa del 3,9% observada en diciembre del año 2016 y también menor a la tasa del 5,2% verificada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Por otro lado, se señala que la inflación núcleo1 se sitúo en un nivel inferior al de la inflación total mensual (en 0,2%). Así, la inflación interanual medida por este indicador, alcanzó una tasa del 2,8%, inferior al 3,1% correspondiente al mes de diciembre del año pasado y también por debajo de la tasa del 4% verificada en el mes de enero del año 2016.
dc.description.abstractInflation for January 2016, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 2.6%, higher than the 0.6% rate observed in the same month of the previous year. With this result, year-on-year inflation stood at 5.2%, higher than the 3.1% rate observed in December 2015 and also higher than the 3.4% rate observed in the same month of the previous year. On the other hand, core inflation1 was lower than monthly headline inflation (at 0.4%). Thus, year-on-year inflation, measured by this indicator, reached a rate of 4%, higher than the 3.7% rate observed in December of last year and also above the 2.9% rate observed in January 2015.
