dc.descriptionLa inflación del mes de enero del año 2014, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del 1,4%, superior a la tasa del 1,2% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación interanual se ubicó en un 3,9%, resultado mayor a la tasa del 3,7% observada en diciembre del año 2013, e inferior a la tasa del 4,1% verificada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Por otro lado, se señala que la inflación núcleo1 se sitúo en un nivel inferior al de la inflación total mensual (en 0,6%). Así, la inflación interanual medida por este indicador, alcanzó una tasa del 3%, mayor al 2,6% correspondiente al mes de diciembre del año pasado, y por debajo de la tasa del 4,2% verificada en el mes de enero del año 2013.
dc.description.abstractInflation for January 2014, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 1.4%, higher than the 1.2% rate observed in the same month of the previous year. With this result, year-on-year inflation stood at 3.9%, higher than the 3.7% rate observed in December 2013 and lower than the 4.1% rate observed in the same month of the previous year. On the other hand, core inflation1 was lower than monthly headline inflation (0.6%). Thus, year-on-year inflation, measured by this indicator, reached a rate of 3%, higher than the 2.6% rate observed in December of last year and lower than the 4.2% rate observed in January 2013.
