dc.descriptionLa inflación del mes de diciembre del año 2017, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del 0,5%, inferior a la tasa del 0,6% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación del 2017 asciende al 4,5%, por encima del 3,9% verificado en el año anterior. Por otro lado, se señala que la inflación núcleo1 se situó en un nivel inferior al de la inflación total mensual (en 0,2%). Así, la inflación del año medida por este indicador, alcanzó una tasa del 2,8%, inferior a la tasa del 3,1% registrada en el año 2016.
dc.description.abstractInflation for December 2017, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 0.5%, lower than the 0.6% rate observed in the same month the previous year. With this result, inflation for 2017 rose to 4.5%, above the 3.9% recorded the previous year. Furthermore, core inflation1 was lower than monthly headline inflation (0.2%). Thus, inflation for the year, as measured by this indicator, reached a rate of 2.8%, lower than the 3.1% rate recorded in 2016.
