Summary
La inflación del mes de agosto del año 2007, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del 3,4%, mayor a la tasa del 0,2% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación acumulada en el año asciende al 2,3%, por debajo del 3,7% verificado en igual período durante el año anterior. Por su parte, la inflación interanual se ubica en 10,9%, por encima del 7,5% registrado en el mes de julio del año 2007, y también superior al 8% observado en agosto del año 2006.
Abstract
Inflation for August 2007, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 3.4%, higher than the 0.2% rate observed in the same month last year. With this result, cumulative inflation for the year reached 2.3%, below the 3.7% recorded in the same period last year. Year-on-year inflation stood at 10.9%, above the 7.5% recorded in July 2007 and also higher than the 8% recorded in August 2006.
