dc.descriptionLa inflación del mes de agosto del año 2020, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios del Productor (IPP), fue de 0,9%, superior a la tasa del 0% registrada en el mismo mes del año 2019. De la misma manera, la inflación acumulada a agosto de 2020 fue de 2,3%, superior al -0,8% observado el año pasado. Así, la inflación interanual del mes se ubicó en 4,3%, por encima de la tasa del 3,4% observada en el mes anterior, y también mayor a la tasa del 0,2% verificada en el mes de agosto del año 2019. En el nivel de los PRODUCTOS NACIONALES, la inflación durante el mes de agosto del 2020 fue del 1,1%, superior a la variación del -0,5% observada en el mismo mes del año 2019. Por su parte, la inflación acumulada a agosto del 2020 fue del 1,2%, por encima de la tasa del -2,9% registrada en el año anterior. De esta manera, la inflación interanual del mes de agosto se ubicó en una tasa del 3,2%, resultado superior al 1,6% registrado en el mes de julio del corriente, y también por encima del -1,8% verificado en agosto de 2019.
dc.description.abstractInflation for August 2020, measured by the variation in the Producer Price Index (PPI), was 0.9%, higher than the 0% rate recorded in the same month in 2019. Similarly, cumulative inflation through August 2020 was 2.3%, higher than the -0.8% observed last year. Thus, year-on-year inflation for the month was 4.3%, higher than the 3.4% rate observed in the previous month and also higher than the 0.2% rate observed in August 2019. Regarding DOMESTIC PRODUCTS, inflation during August 2020 was 1.1%, higher than the -0.5% variation observed in the same month in 2019. Cumulative inflation through August 2020 was 1.2%, higher than the -2.9% rate recorded in the previous year. Thus, year-on-year inflation for August was 3.2%, higher than the 1.6% recorded in July of this year and also higher than the -1.8% recorded in August 2019.
