Summary
La inflación del mes de febrero del año 2019, medida por la variación del
Índice de Precios del Productor (IPP), fue del 0,2%, inferior a la tasa del
0,3% registrada en el mismo mes del año pasado. Así, la inflación acumulada
asciende al 0,2%, por debajo del 0,7% observado en febrero del 2018. Con
estos datos, la inflación interanual en el mes de febrero de 2019 se ubica en
1,9%, inferior al 2% correspondiente al mes de enero del corriente, y
también menor al 2,5% observado en febrero del año 2018.
En el nivel de los PRODUCTOS NACIONALES la inflación durante el mes
de febrero del corriente fue del 0,2%, menor al 0,9% observado en el mismo
mes del año anterior. Por su parte, la inflación acumulada se ubicó en -0,3%,
por debajo del 0,9% verificado en febrero del año pasado. Así, la inflación
interanual para los bienes nacionales cerró con una tasa del -0,4%, inferior al
0,2% de enero del corriente, y también por debajo del 4,7% verificada en
febrero del año 2018.
Abstract
Inflation for February 2019, as measured by the variation in the Producer Price Index (PPI), was 0.2%, lower than the 0.3% rate recorded in the same month last year. Thus, cumulative inflation reached 0.2%, below the 0.7% observed in February 2018. With this data, year-on-year inflation for February 2019 stood at 1.9%, lower than the 2% corresponding to January of this year, and also lower than the 2.5% observed in February 2018. Regarding DOMESTIC PRODUCTS, inflation during the month of February was 0.2%, lower than the 0.9% observed in the same month last year. Meanwhile, cumulative inflation stood at -0.3%, below the 0.9% recorded in February of last year. Thus, year-on-year inflation for domestic goods closed at -0.4%, lower than the 0.2% recorded in January of this year and also below the 4.7% recorded in February 2018.
