Summary
La inflación del mes de febrero del año 2020, medida por la variación del
Índice de Precios del Productor (IPP), fue de 0,2%, similar a la tasa
registrada en el mismo mes del año 2019. En tanto que, la inflación
acumulada a febrero de 2020 fue de 0,7%, superior al 0,2% observado el año
pasado. Así, la inflación interanual del mes se ubicó en 1,5%, similar a la tasa
observada en el mes anterior, pero menor a la tasa del 1,9% verificada en el
mes de febrero del año 2019.
En el nivel de los PRODUCTOS NACIONALES la inflación durante el mes
de febrero del año 2020 fue del 0,4%, superior a la variación del 0,2%
observada en el mismo mes del año 2019. Por su parte, la inflación
acumulada a febrero del 2020 fue del 0,5%, por encima de la tasa del -0,3%
registrada en el año anterior. De esta manera, la inflación interanual del mes
de febrero se ubicó en una tasa del -0,1%, resultado superior al -0,2%
registrado en el mes de enero del corriente, y también por encima del -0,4%
verificado en febrero de 2019.
Abstract
Inflation for February 2020, measured by the variation in the Producer Price Index (PPI), was 0.2%, similar to the rate recorded in the same month in 2019. Meanwhile, cumulative inflation through February 2020 was 0.7%, higher than the 0.2% observed last year. Thus, year-on-year inflation for the month was 1.5%, similar to the rate observed in the previous month, but lower than the 1.9% rate observed in February 2019. For domestic products, inflation during February 2020 was 0.4%, higher than the 0.2% increase observed in the same month in 2019. Cumulative inflation through February 2020 was 0.5%, higher than the -0.3% rate recorded in the previous year. Thus, year-on-year inflation for February was -0.1%, higher than the -0.2% recorded in January of this year, and also higher than the -0.4% recorded in February 2019.
