dc.descriptionLa inflación del mes de octubre del año 2020, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios del Productor (IPP), fue de 0,9%, inferior a la tasa del 1,1% registrada en el mismo mes del año 2019. De la misma manera, la inflación acumulada a octubre de 2020 fue de 4,3%, por encima del 1,1% observado el año pasado. Así, la inflación interanual del mes se ubicó en 4,3%, inferior a la tasa del 4,5% observada en el mes anterior, pero mayor a la tasa del 1% verificada en el mes de octubre del año 2019. En el nivel de los PRODUCTOS NACIONALES, la inflación durante el mes de octubre del 2020 fue del 1,3%, superior a la variación del 0,8% observada en el mismo mes del año 2019. Por su parte, la inflación acumulada a octubre del 2020 fue del 4,2%, por encima de la tasa del -1,3% registrada en el año anterior. De esta manera, la inflación interanual del mes de octubre se ubicó en una tasa del 4,6%, resultado superior al 4,1% registrado en el mes de septiembre del corriente, y también por encima del -0,8% verificado en octubre de 2019.
dc.description.abstractInflation for October 2020, as measured by the Producer Price Index (PPI), was 0.9%, lower than the 1.1% rate recorded for the same month in 2019. Similarly, cumulative inflation through October 2020 was 4.3%, higher than the 1.1% recorded last year. Thus, year-on-year inflation for the month stood at 4.3%, lower than the 4.5% rate observed in the previous month, but higher than the 1% rate observed in October 2019. At the DOMESTIC PRODUCTS level, inflation during October 2020 was 1.3%, higher than the 0.8% variation observed in the same month in 2019. Meanwhile, cumulative inflation through October 2020 was 4.2%, above the -1.3% rate recorded in the previous year. Thus, year-on-year inflation for October stood at 4.6%, higher than the 4.1% recorded in September of this year, and also higher than the -0.8% recorded in October 2019.
