Evolución del Índice de Precios del productor (IPP): junio de 2017

Abstract

Inflation for May 2017, as measured by the change in the Producer Price Index (PPI), was 0%, lower than the 0.4% rate recorded in May of last year. Thus, cumulative inflation stands at -0.3%, below the -0.1% observed in May 2016. With these data, year-on-year inflation for 2017 reached 3.9%, lower than the 4.3% corresponding to April of this year, and also lower than the 4.5% observed in May of 2016. For DOMESTIC PRODUCTS, inflation during the month of May of this year was -0.4%, lower than the 0.2% observed in the same month of the previous year. Cumulative inflation, meanwhile, stood at 0.5%, below the 1.9% observed in May of last year. Thus, year-on-year inflation for domestic goods closed at 6.9%, lower than the 7.5% recorded in April of this year and higher than the 2.9% recorded in May 2016.
