dc.descriptionLa inflación durante el año 2007 fue del 6%, resultado menor al 12,5% observado en el año 2006. Esta tasa se encuentra dentro del rango de la meta referencial de inflación de mediano y largo plazo del 5%, con un rango de tolerancia del +/- 2,5%. Por otro lado, se señala que la inflación subyacente (indicador que excluye los rubros volátiles de la canasta) en el año 2007 se ubicó en 7,7%, por encima del 7% del año 2006, aunque en el mes de diciembre se observó un menor ritmo de crecimiento mensual comparado con los últimos resultados registrados en la última parte del año.

Furthermore, it is noted that core inflation (an indicator that excludes volatile items in the basket) in 2007 was 7.7%, higher than the 7% observed in 2006, although a slower monthly growth rate was observed in December compared to the results recorded in the latter part of the year.
