Informe Evolución del Índice de Precios del Productor (IPP) : marzo 2017

Abstract

Inflation for March 2017, measured by the change in the Producer Price Index (PPI), was -0.6%, lower than the -0.1% rate recorded in March of last year. Thus, cumulative inflation reached -0.4%, below the 0.4% observed in March of 2016. With these data, year-on-year inflation for 2017 reached 3.3%, lower than the 3.8% corresponding to February of this year, and also lower than the 6.3% observed in March of 2016. Regarding DOMESTIC PRODUCTS, inflation during March of this year was -0.1%, lower than the 0.5% observed in the same month of the previous year. Cumulative inflation, meanwhile, stood at 0.8%, below the 2.3% observed in March of last year. Thus, year-on-year inflation for domestic goods closed at 6.7%, lower than the 7.3% recorded in February of this year, but higher than the 2.7% rate recorded in March 2016.
