Evolución del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC): en setiembre de 2013

dc.descriptionLa inflación del mes de setiembre del 2013, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), alcanzó una tasa del 0,3%, mayor a la tasa del 0,2% observada en el mismo mes del año 2012. Con este resultado, la inflación acumulada en el año asciende al 2,1%, por debajo de la tasa del 2,8% registrada durante el mismo periodo en el año anterior. La inflación interanual, por su parte, fue del 3,2%, resultado levemente mayor a la tasa del 3,1% verificada en el mes de agosto del corriente año, y también por encima de la tasa del 2,8% registrada en el mes de setiembre del año pasado. Por otro lado, se señala que la inflación subyacente (indicador que excluye los rubros volátiles de la canasta) se sitúo en un nivel superior al de la inflación total mensual (en 0,5%). Así, la inflación interanual medida por este indicador, alcanzó una tasa del 3%, superior a la tasa del 2,7% correspondiente al mes de agosto del corriente año, y también por encima de la tasa del 2,9% verificada en el mes de setiembre del año 2012.
dc.description.abstractInflation for September 2013, measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), reached a rate of 0.3%, higher than the 0.2% rate observed in the same month in 2012. With this result, cumulative inflation for the year reached 2.1%, below the 2.8% rate recorded during the same period last year. Year-on-year inflation, meanwhile, was 3.2%, slightly higher than the 3.1% rate recorded in August of this year and also above the 2.8% rate recorded in September of last year. On the other hand, it is noted that core inflation (an indicator that excludes volatile items in the basket) was higher than total monthly inflation (at 0.5%). Thus, year-on-year inflation, as measured by this indicator, reached a rate of 3%, higher than the 2.7% rate for August of this year, and also above the 2.9% rate recorded in September 2012.
