Evolución del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC): en setiembre de 2017

dc.descriptionLa inflación del mes de setiembre del año 2017, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del 0,3%, superior a la tasa del 0,2% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación acumulada en el año asciende al 2,7%, por encima del 2,5% verificado en el mismo periodo del año anterior. La inflación interanual, por su parte, fue del 4,2%, mayor al 4% registrado en el mes de agosto del corriente año y también superior a la tasa del 3,5% registrada en el mes de setiembre del año pasado. Por otro lado, se señala que la inflación núcleo1 se situó en un nivel similar al de la inflación total mensual (en 0,3%). Así, la inflación interanual medida por este indicador, alcanzó una tasa del 3,1%, igual al mes de agosto del corriente año y por debajo de la tasa del 3,5% verificada en el mes de setiembre del año 2016.
dc.description.abstractInflation for September 2017, measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 0.3%, higher than the 0.2% rate observed in the same month last year. With this result, cumulative inflation for the year reached 2.7%, above the 2.5% recorded in the same period last year. Year-on-year inflation, meanwhile, was 4.2%, higher than the 4% recorded in August of this year and also higher than the 3.5% rate recorded in September of last year. Furthermore, it is noted that core inflation1 was at a similar level to monthly headline inflation (0.3%). Thus, year-on-year inflation, as measured by this indicator, reached a rate of 3.1%, equal to that of August of this year and below the 3.5% rate recorded in September 2016.
