dc.descriptionLa inflación del mes de octubre del año 2017, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del 0,5%, superior a la tasa del -0,2% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación acumulada en el año asciende al 3,2%, por encima del 2,2% verificado en el mismo periodo del año anterior. La inflación interanual, por su parte, fue del 4,9%, mayor al 4,2% registrado en el mes de setiembre del corriente año y también superior a la tasa del 3,6% registrada en el mes de octubre del año pasado. Por otro lado, se señala que la inflación núcleo1 se situó en un nivel inferior al de la inflación total mensual (en 0,2%). Así, la inflación interanual medida por este indicador, alcanzó una tasa del 3%, levemente inferior al 3,1% registrado en el mes de setiembre del corriente año y también por debajo de la tasa del 3,3% verificada en el mes de octubre del año 2016
dc.description.abstractInflation for October 2017, measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 0.5%, higher than the -0.2% rate observed in the same month last year. With this result, cumulative inflation for the year reached 3.2%, above the 2.2% recorded in the same period last year. Year-on-year inflation, meanwhile, was 4.9%, higher than the 4.2% recorded in September of this year and also higher than the 3.6% rate recorded in October last year. Furthermore, it is noted that core inflation1 was lower than total monthly inflation (at 0.2%). Thus, the year-on-year inflation measured by this indicator reached a rate of 3%, slightly lower than the 3.1% recorded in September of this year and also below the rate of 3.3% verified in October 2016.
