dc.descriptionLa inflación del mes de noviembre del año 2007, medida por la variación del Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC), fue del -2,2%, menor a la tasa del 1,9% observada en el mismo mes del año anterior. Con este resultado, la inflación acumulada en el año asciende al 4,6%, por debajo del 9,5% verificado en igual período del año anterior. Por su parte, la inflación interanual se ubica en 7,4%, inferior al 12% registrado en el mes de octubre del año 2007, y también menor al 8,9% observado en noviembre del año 2006. No obstante, la inflación subyacente -aquella que excluye los aumentos de precios de los rubros volátiles de la canasta- fue del 1,5% en el mes, con lo cual la tasa interanual asciende al 7,3% desde el 5,7% observado en el mes anterior, reanudándose con ello la tendencia ascendente del indicador subyacente, aunque permanece en un nivel levemente inferior a la inflación total interanual.
dc.description.abstractInflation for November 2007, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was -2.2%, lower than the 1.9% rate observed in the same month last year. With this result, cumulative inflation for the year reached 4.6%, below the 9.5% observed in the same period last year. Meanwhile, year-on-year inflation stood at 7.4%, lower than the 12% recorded in October 2007 and also lower than the 8.9% observed in November 2006. However, core inflation—which excludes price increases in volatile items in the basket—was 1.5% for the month, bringing the year-on-year rate to 7.3% from the 5.7% observed in the previous month. This resumes the upward trend of the core indicator, although it remains slightly lower than the total year-on-year inflation.
